Chicago Prairie Tennis Club at the Lake Meadows Tennis Center is an official USTA Tennis Welcome Center. What is a Tennis Welcome Center? It is a local neighborhood tennis facility that welcomes new comers to the game of tennis. Lesson and league play are provided, whether you are a seasoned tennis player that has been away from the game a while or a new comer who is curious about the sport and wants to learn more. We have beginner programs, junior programs for kids and tennis pros that can help you and your family get started or assist you to pick up where you left off. All you need is comfortable clothing, proper tennis shoes and in many cases we can provide a racquet to get you started. Some programs are free and individual lessons start at $35 per hour. Group lessons are also available for a lesser fee. If you choose to become a member of CPTC our membership for the year is $35 per single applicant or $45 for a family. You can play all all summer long for a flat fee if you choose to pay for permanent court time in addition to your member ship fee. If not, court time is $6 per hour whether it is doubles or singles play. Lake Meadows residents can get a free membership with free court fees or discounted rates depending on where you live within the Lake Meadows property. We can teach you the rules of tennis; how to hit the ball, and how to keep score. Tennis is a game for life, it provides a good cardiovascular workout that the whole family will enjoy.
